"The Disappearing World of the Asian Elephant"(working title) is a brand new documentary that Profilm is producing. The Asian elephant is loosing it´s numbers at an alarming rate and the world´s leading experts claim that it will be extinct in less than 50 years time. We´ve completed a 7 week research and filming tour in Thailand and the second part of the filming is due this coming spring. Jóhann Sigfússon directs the documentary and it is filmed by Gunnar Konráðsson. The documentary is shot in Thailand, Sri Lanka and India. It is due to be completed in November 2010.
